⚠️Email Sending Authentication and DMARC
Introduction
Like many Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Lend offers the capability to dispatch reminder and action-required emails to your clients on your behalf. DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) helps ensure emails sent from your domain are authentic and secure.
For a comprehensive list of the types of emails we can send, please refer to the following article: Pre-built email automations
Additionally, our platform allows for the configuration of automations for sending your own custom emails to your clients.
Email Dispatch
Emails are dispatched through SendGrid, a dedicated email delivery service. It is essential to note that the "From" address is set as your email address to ensure transparency and recognition for your clients. However, if you have setup a DMARC policy and configured it to reject unauthenticated emails, these communications will NOT be successfully delivered.
Authentication and DMARC
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) is an email authentication framework that enables domain owners to safeguard their domain against unauthorised use. Should your DMARC policy be set to reject unauthenticated emails originating from your domain, it is imperative to contact us. We will assist in establishing domain authentication by generating DNS entries for you to incorporate into your domain's DNS settings, thereby ensuring email deliverability.
You can check if your domain has a DMARC policy by using tools such as this DMARC Inspector.
To enable Lend to dispatch emails for you, it's necessary to adjust your domain's DNS configuration. This involves adding three CNAME records, which we'll supply upon your reaching out to us, and altering your SPF record to incorporate sendgrid by adding include:sendgrid.net.
