Why are my emails not sending to my clients?

Email related issues

When you send an email via Lend, you are using your email address through our domain service. It is not uncommon to find that your email settings may have a DMARC policy blocking you from sending emails from our domain.

Emails are dispatched through SendGrid, a dedicated email delivery service. It is essential to note that the "From" address is set as your email address to ensure transparency and recognition for your clients. However, if you have set up a DMARC policy and configured it to reject unauthenticated emails, these communications will NOT be successfully delivered.

You can check if your domain has a DMARC policy by using tools such as this DMARC Inspector.

If you are experiencing this issue, there are two ways we can solve this:

  1. You reach out to your Lend RM to discuss generating CNAME & SPF records so you can include this within your DNS configuration. This is the recommended solution as it is generally the easiest to set up.

  2. Set up your own SMTP settings in Lend to send emails from your own email server. To set this up you will need to provide your SMTP host, Port, Encryption, username, from email, from name & reply to email within Lend. Please see the steps below on how you can access this section if this is your desired method of resolution.

Please see a list of steps below to access the SMTP Relay section in your Lend account.

  1. Login to Lend and go to your Account section and go to the SMTP Relay tab.

  2. Complete all the fields on the page and validate the details.

  3. We will send you an email with a code, enter the code to complete the validation.
